Ann M. Hull was born on 6 September 1836 in Whitingham, Windham County, Vermont to Emory and Lydia Hull.1 Ann had four siblings, George Henry, who died as an infant, Mary Amanda, Fanny Sophia, and Lucy M. Hull.2

Ann’s father, Emory, died when she was five.3 In 1950, Ann, her mother, and her sisters were living in both West Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts and Whitingham, Windham County, Vermont.4

1. Birth: The birthdate of 6 Sept 1836 is from entry in Ann M. Hull’s diary on 6 Sept 1857 reads: “Feel much better. Am 21 years old today.” Ann M. Hull, Diary of 1857, (Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania), 1-6 September 1857, privately held by Faulkner-Hull Collection.
