Lucy Melissa Hull was born on 19 may 1839 in Whitingham, Windham County, Vermont to Emory Hull and Lydia Chase.1 Lucy’s sister, Ann, called Lucy “Lute.”2

Lucy married Newell B. Hall on 20 November 1856 in Whitingham, Windham County, Vermont.3 The couple had seven known children: Frank N. (1857-1859), Jennie Melissa (1859-1934), George H. (1862-1909), Willie Arthur (1864-1939), Frank L. (1866-1937), Harry Clifton (1873-1950), and Percy Newell (1877-1943).4

Lucy’s husband, Newell, died at the age of 75 on 4 December 1904 in Montague, Franklin County, Massachusetts.5 Lucy Melissa Hull Hall died at the age of 79 on 3 July 1918 in East Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island.6 Newell and Lucy are buried in Springdale Cemetery in Montague.7
