Hattie E. Holdridge was born on 22 Apr 1855 in Lanesboro, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania to Harvey Holdridge and Fannie Sophia Hull Holdridge.1

As a toddler, Hattie spent much time with her aunts, Ann Hull and Mary Hull Lyons, her family, and the Harmony community.2

As a young woman, Hattie worked as a clerk in a dry goods store, while living with her parents and younger sister, Jessie, in Oakland in Susquehanna County.3

Hattie married Samuel Pettingill Loomis, the son of Confucius Fitch Loomis and Betsey Lyons.4 Hattie and Samuel had two sons, Harvie (1883-1963) and Frederick (1886-1925).5 Samuel died on 23 Aug 1891, when the boys were quite young.6

Hattie remained in Hallstead in Susquehanna County and never remarried. In the years before her death, she lived with her son, Harvie, and grandson, Herbert.7

Hattie E. Holdridge Loomis died at the age of 82 on 17 June 1939 in Great Bend, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania and is buried in Hallstead.8
