Monday Jan 9th 1854
Congregation me pursuant to notice organised by calling Mr T. W. Laughlin to the chair, The minuts of the last meeting were read and approved
The Treasurer of the board of Deacons made his anual report which on motion was received and ordered to be put on file
It was moved that the pew holder be required to pay their usual amount for supplies and as many as can to pay half yearly in advance (carried)
It was moved that the session be a com to obtain supplies (Carried)
It was moved that the surplus of 30 dollars reported by the deacons be appropriated to Mr Alexander (carried)
On motion meeting adjourned

Monday August 21st 1854
Congregation met pursuant to notice for the purpose of taking into consideration the subject of calling a Pastor. The meeting was organized by inviting the Rev J. E. Alexander to act as Moderator and appointing Wm Robinson jnr secretary
It was moved and seconded that we now proceed to an election of a Pastor for this church
It was proved to amend that we go in to an election provided there be a candidate to be elected that will be acceptable to the congregation (Adopted)
The Rev Messrs Fergison Miligen & McCormick were then nominated as candidates whereupon a ballott was had which resulted as follows viz

It was then moved that there be a call made out to Rev Fergison ¾ of his time (carried)
It was moved that the blank in the call be filled with 500, 450, 400, & 275 dollars neither of which sums being adopted. The motion the meeting adjourned to meet on next Saturday week at 1 Oclock P M
Saturday Sept 2nd 1854.
Congregation met pursuant to adjornment Rev Alexander Moderator in the chair
The minuts of the last meeting were read and approved
It was moved that the blank in the call be filled with 400, dollars (carried)
On motion the above vote was reconsidered
The question was then taken and lost It was moved to fill the blank with 450 dollars carried

It was moved that the Elders & Deacons be a com to sign the call in behalf of the congregation carried
It was moved that the ministers salery to be paid half yearly in advance (carried)
It was moved that the delegate of this church to presbytery be instructed to prosecute this call (carried)
On motion there was a com consisting of Dr Patterson Messrs Caldwell T. P. Laughlin & Wm Robinson snr to make arrangements for the entertainment of the delegates to presbytery
On within the delegate was instructed to limit Mr Fergison in the consideration of the call to one month
On motion the come of correspondence was instructed to inform Mr Fergison of the action of this meeting
On motion meeting adjourned
