Caroline Bradford Nye was born 30 December 1871 in New Bedford, Bristol County, Massachusetts.1 The only known child of Clark Nye and Sarah E. Myrick, Caroline lived with her parents at 35 School Street in New Bedford during her childhood and attended Fifth Street Grammar School.2

Caroline graduated from New Bedford High School in 1890.3

Caroline married Franklin A. Young on 22 June 1899 in New Bedford.4

The couple soon moved to Pennsylvania and were living at 1153 Butler Street in Easton, Northampton County in 1900.5 By 1902, Franklin and Caroline were again living in Massachusetts, when their first child, Clark, was born on 15 March 1902 in Fairhaven, Bristol County.6

Caroline and Franklin’s second child, Marion Bradford Young, was born 24 July 1903 in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island.7 Their third child, Franklin Andrew Young, Jr., was born on 24 March 1905 in Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey.8

Caroline Bradford Nye Young died on 3 April 1905 in Jersey City, New Jersey, and is buried in Rural Cemetery in New Bedford, Bristol County, Massachusetts.9

After Caroline’s death, Franklin married Mary L. Curtis in 1906, the widow of Joseph H. Johnson.10 Franklin Young died in 1931.11

Caroline’s mother, Sarah E. Myrick Nye, died at the age of 64 on 30 August 1912 in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard.12 Caroline’s father, Clark D. Nye, died on 27 February 1916 in New Bedford.13 They are both buried in Rural Cemetery in New Bedford.14

Caroline and Franklin’s son, Franklin A. Young, Jr., died in 1985 at the age of 80.15

Caroline and Franklin’s son, Clark Nye Young, died at the age of 84 on 13 September 1986 in Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, and is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Fairhaven, Bristol County, Massachusetts.16

Caroline and Franklin’s daughter, Marion Bradford Young Shepherd, died on 11 November 1988 in Brevard County, Florida at the age of 85.17 Marion is buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Patchogue, Suffolk County, New York.18
