July, Wednesday 1
Very rainy. Commenced working a sacqene[?]. for Mrs Newells baby.
Thursday, 2
Finished the sacqene[?]. Went up to Fannies in the PM. One year ago today I arrived in Lanesboro.
July 3–8

July, Friday, 3, 1857
Knit on Hatties stocking. Visited at Mr Concklins in the PM
Saturday, 4
Beautiful day this has been. Enjoyed myself first rate. Went to a School Celebration at Windsor.
Sunday, 5
Went to church in the forenoon. Went up to the grave yard in the PM. Wrote a letter to Mary H.
July, Monday, 6, 1857
Went up to Harveys in the AM. Staid with Frank in the PM. Prudence and her mother arrived today.
Tuesday, 7
Staid at Freds in the AM. In the PM visited at Joel Lyons. Worked on a nightcap string.
Wednesday, 8 Did not feel very well. Visited at Augustus Lyons in the PM. Truman fell from a ladder and hurt him quite bad.
July 9–14

July, Thursday, 9, 1857
Prudence started for home this morning. Mrs Smith in the afternoon. Finished my nightcap today.
Friday, 10
Have had the headache all day. Commenced embroidering a pair of slippers.
Saturday, 11
Have a very bad cold am almost sick.
July, Sunday, 12, 1857
Feel some better. Went to church. Wrote to Aunt Carrie.
Monday, 13
Worked on the slippers in the forenoon. Had the headache very hard in the PM Coughed all day.
Tuesday, 14
Felt very bad all day. Did nothing but coughed very bad
July 15–20

July, Wednesday, 15, 1857
Felt some better. There was a funeral today but was not able to go.
Funeral possibly that of Augustus E. Conklin, who died 12 Jul 1857.
Thursday, 16
Felt quite smart. Have made me a head dress today with Marys help
Friday, 17
About as well as usual. There is a dance at Mr Nortons tonight
July, Saturday, 18, 1857
Helped to make Mary and Fannies head dress in the AM. Visited at Mr Purdies in the PM. Received a letter from Harriet
Sunday, 19
Went to church. Then went and took a boat ride.
Monday, 20
Helped Mary some and finished the slippers.
July 21–26

July, Tuesday, 21, 1857
Worked on my handkerchief and visited at Mr A. Barnes.
Wednesday, 22
Commenced me a corded skirt. Had company in the PM.
July, Friday, 24, 1857
Have set up most of the time but do not feel very well.
Saturday, 25
Have knit some but have not fell well.
Sunday, 26
Went to church and then to Fannies. Hattie was quite sick.
July 27–31

July, Monday, 27, 1857
Have been up to Fannies all day. Hattie quite smart.
Tuesday, 28
Worked on my handkerchief. Fannie went to pick berries
Wednesday, 29
Finished my handkerchief, then commenced some drawer bottoms. Took tea at Mr Comforts
July, Thursday, 30, 1857
Rainy. Embroidered a little
Friday, 31
Went up to Dr S. in the afternoon.
