Monday Feb 5th 1849
The Congregation met pursuant to notice for the purpose of electing an additional number of elders
The meeting was organized by calling Mr Alexander to the chair
On motion it was agreed to elect an additional No of elders
On motion it was agreed that the no be 3.
On motion it was agreed that the voting be done by ballot
The following persons were then nominate viz [commas added for ease of reading]
H. Brown, S. Potts, J. K. Caldwell, O. Withrow, J. Robinson of Wm, J. McCurdy, Wm Thompson jnr, Wm Blackburn
The election was then event into and resolved in the election of
It was moved an seconded that the 3 who have a majority of all the votes
