In 1925, a journal was compiled by an unknown person in an unknown location containing photos of a house, gardens, most likely the journal’s creator, family members and/or neighbors, and intricate descriptions of their plantings.
The journal was purchased at a flea market on Cape Cod in Massachusetts in 2022. Items found at the flea market are typically from locations south of Boston, many from New Bedford, Fall River, and Plymouth. However, the journal’s contents provide no clues as to the owners or the location of the property. The photos are dated May-August 1925. The planting description indicates large gardens.
If anyone has an idea where this house is located and/or recognizes the people in the photos, please use the Contact Us form to get in touch.
