The Louisiana Maneuvers were U.S. Army exercises held in 1940-1941 in Louisiana to prepare the troops for war. The following photographs were part of the files and photographs of Lt. Colonel Ernest L. Faulkner. As he appears in some of the photographs (he typically circled himself), the photographer is unknown; it is possible the group shared a camera. The writing is on the back of each photo and is Faulkner’s handwriting. The photographs are now part of the Faulkner-Hull family papers, held by Kimberli Faulkner Hull in Massachusetts.
