Collins Venacius Clifford was born on 18 May 1886 in Rockford, Winnebago County, Illinois to John C. Clifford and Mary E. Collins.1 Collin had four siblings: Marie Julia, John Paul, Daniel, and a sister that died as an infant.2


Collin never married.3 Collin died on 16 March 1934 in Dubuque, Dubuque County, Iowa at the age of 47.4 He is buried in Saint Mary and Saint James Cemetery in Rockford, Winnebago County, Illinois.5


Collin’s parents
Collins’ father, John C. Clifford, died on 24 April 1947 at the age of 91 in Savanna, Carroll County, Illinois.6 Collin’s mother, Mary Elizabeth Collins Clifford, died on 21 December 1957 at the age of 96, also in Savanna, Carroll County, Illinois.7 Both are buried in Saint Mary and Saint James Cemetery in Rockford, Winnebago County, Illinois.8


Collin’s siblings
Daniel A. Clifford died at the age of 17 on 1 August 1912.9 John Paul Clifford died on 25 October 1967 in Savanna, Carroll County, Illinois at the age of 77.10 Both are buried in Saint Mary and Saint James Cemetery in Rockford, Winnebago County, Illinois.11


Marie Julia Clifford married Arthur Alphonse Fitz on 31 March 1948.12 Arthur died on 12 October 1954. 13


Marie Julia Clifford Fitz died on 26 October 1981 and is buried with Arthur in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Key West, Dubuque County, Iowa.14
