The State of Ohio Guernsey County
On this 20th day of July eighteen hundred and twenty, personally appeared in open Court, being a Court of records for said county, Morris Ader aged sixty three years a resident of Madison Township in said county, he being first duly sworn according to Law doth on his oath declare that he served in the Revolutionary war as follows; In the first Regiment of the Jersey line under Captains Aaron Ogdens, Jonathan Finman, John Howel, and discharged under Captain Alexander Mitchell and was at the battle of the Greenspring and at the taking of the Cornwallace, Original Declaration dated on the twenty seventh day of January one thousand eight hundred and nineteen. The number of the pension certificate is 11.549. And I do Solemnly swear that I was a resident citizen of the United States on the Eighteenth day of March 1818 and that I have not since that time by gifts sale or in any manner disposed of my property or any parts thereof with interests thereby so to diminish it as to bring myself within the provisions of an act of Congress instilled an act to provide for certain persons engaged in the land and naval service of the United States in the Revolutionary war passed on the 18th day of March one thousand eighteen hundred and eighteen and that I have not nor has any persons interests for me any property or securities contracts or debts due to me nor have I any income than what is Contained in the schedule hereto annexed and by me.
